ESCAPE HUNTER ESSENTIAL INFO

What exactly is Escape Hunt?

Think of Escape Hunt as the closest you’re likely to get to starring in a brilliantly plotted escape movie. You and your teammates get locked in a themed room and have to find and solve a series of clues in order to escape. The pressure’s on, the clock’s ticking, the adrenaline’s pumping. Escape Hunt isn’t something you watch, it’s something you experience – right in the heart of the action. We make you earn your freedom, throwing all manner of devious and dastardly red herrings, dead ends and misdirections your way. It’s completely immersive, utterly addictive and totally entertaining. After Escape Hunt, other entertainment just feels flat.

How long does each Escape Hunt last?

The whole experience lasts around 90 minutes. You’ll spend around 60 minutes in the room (in fact that’s the maximum time you’ve got in which to escape). Before that there’s a quick briefing to explain everything, and afterwards we invite you and your group to enjoy our licensed lounge, complimentary tea and coffee and photo opportunity space.

What are your opening times?

We’re open every day from 10am until 10pm. The last game booking is 8:30pm.

What is the best group size?

We think our games are ideal for groups of between two and five or six depending on the room. We would recommend at least three to four players to ensure you can apply enough brain power to the challenges! If you’ve seven or more who want to play then why not split into two teams and have a friendly – or indeed unfriendly – head to head competition?

Which Escape Hunt should I play?

All our Escape Hunt games are incredibly exciting and utterly immersive, so it’s impossible for us to say. Perhaps the best solution is to play them all!

If you are new to escape rooms, we would recommend Secret Service Mission (Level 1) or Alice in Puzzleland (Level 1).

If you’ve played escape rooms before, then we would recommend Wizard’s Quest (Level 2) or The Bank of Australia Heist (Level 3).

If you want a real challenge we would recommend our hardest room Assassin in the Pub (Level 4).

If you want to play head-to-head against another team then Wizard’s Quest (Level 2) has duplicate rooms available.

If you’d rather not escape the room and instead prefer an adventure around the glorious City of Sydney then book one of our outdoor games, Magic Portal (Level 2) or Operation Mindfall (Level 3).

If you’d rather stay home then check out our huge range of play at home adventures – including our range of remote team building events.

ACCESSIBILITY AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Is there any strenuous physical activity?

No. Our games require brains not brawn. Please treat our special props and equipment carefully so they are in good working order for the next players.

Are your games wheelchair accessible?

Most games are wheelchair accessible for the majority of the game (there may be certain parts of the rooms that a wheelchair cannot reach). Please get in touch at [email protected] to find out more.

Can I play if I’m pregnant?

Of course – the more the merrier! Our games masters monitor every game on CCTV so if you want to leave the room just let them know and you’ll be free in moments. If you’ve any specific worries then we suggest you speak to a health professional before playing.

Can I play if I’m claustrophobic?

Absolutely. Our games rooms aren’t particularly confined, although there are some confined spaces at times (which your team members could access for you). Our game masters are always on hand to release you the moment you want to leave.

Can I play if I am epileptic?

Yes. We don’t use any lighting that could affect people with epilepsy.

OTHER QUESTIONS WE'RE OFTEN ASKED

Am I safe in the room?

Absolutely – our games are thrilling but never, ever dangerous. Rest assured that whatever happens, you’re in safe hands. Our game masters are highly trained and very vigilant, and as you’d expect, player safety is our number one concern.

Can I purchase gift vouchers?

Of course! Who wouldn’t love to receive a gift voucher for the most exciting experience they’ll have all year? Visit the gift vouchers page, located in the footer of our website for more info.

Do you serve food and beverages?

We offer all players complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water and biscuits.
We also sell alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks onsite as well as a range of snacks. We can also arrange gourmet catering for events.

Do I need to bring anything?

Nope – just you, your team and a set of working brains!

Is there a dress code?

Black tie/ball gown, obviously. Just kidding – come as you are, although we do suggest comfortable clothing as the games can get quite intense.
