In response to the COVID-19 situation, we have developed a thorough COVID Safe Plan and have worked through the COVID Safe Checklist published by the Queensland Government. In line with these, we have updated our procedures with the following in place:

SOCIAL DISTANCING

  • Please also do not enter more than 10 minutes before your booking time
  • If needed, we may ask you to wait outside until there is capacity for you to enter
  • Extended time between sessions for previous guests to leave and increased cleaning of rooms
    • We may not be able to give you extra time in your room if you go over (sorry!)
  • No photos will be taken by EH staff at the moment to limit close interactions
  • As always, game rooms are privately booked with only your team playing
  • In busier times you may be asked to exit via the rear door
  • The foyer is set up with socially distanced waiting areas for your group
  • Our staff will maintain social distancing and we request that you keep socially distanced from our staff and other guests as well

SANITISATION

  • You are required to sanitise your hands prior to entering Escape Hunt and before and after your game
  • Sanitiser will also be available throughout the foyer and inside your game room if you request
  • Multiple hand washing facilities are available and you are encouraged to use them
  • Between every game our staff will take extra time and care to sanitise each game room including tables/surfaces, light switches, handles, props, printed collateral, locks etc
    • Sorry if there is a slight wait for your room – we want to make sure you’re safe!
  • After every briefing, the waiting zones in the foyer that were used will be sanitised along with the bathrooms, kitchen and check-in iPads will be sanitised between every use
  • All unnecessary items have been removed from the game rooms and foyer
  • We are now a cash-free premises and request payment online prior to arrival or via paywave card

HEALTH

  • If you are feeling unwell or have COVID-19 symptoms, do not come to Escape Hunt
  • We have the right to refuse service and must insist that any person with these symptoms leave the premises
  • We have relaxed our reschedule & refund policy so that at any time before your booking is scheduled to start, you can reschedule or receive a refund for a member who is unable to attend due to sickness
  • Staff members who feel unwell or start to feel unwell are required to not attend work
  • If requested by Health Authorities for COVID-19 tracing purposes, the full name, mobile phone number and address of the person who made the booking (as entered while booking), will be shared with Health Authorities
  • We won’t be able to offer tea, coffee or soft drink refreshments at the moment
