In response to COVID-19, we have developed our COVID safe plan in line with the Attractions Industry COVID Safe Plan and the COVID Safe Checklist published by the Queensland Government. In line with these, we have the following procedures in place:


  • You must not come to Escape Hunt if you:
    • Are feeling unwell or have any COVID-19 symptoms
    • Have had close contact with a person who has been diagnosed with COVID-19
    • Travelled overseas or been in a COVID-19 hotspot in the last 14 days
    • Are COVID-19 positive
  • These conditions also apply to staff members who then must not attend work
  • We have the right to refuse service and must insist that any person not complying with the above leave the premises
  • We have relaxed our reschedule & refund policy so that at any time before your booking is scheduled to start, you can reschedule or receive a refund for a member who is unable to attend due to sickness or COVID related reasons.
  • If requested by Health Authorities for COVID-19 tracing purposes, the full name, mobile phone number and address of guests as entered at check in and of the person who made the booking (as entered while booking), will be shared with Health Authorities
  • We won’t be able to offer tea, coffee or soft drink refreshments at the moment
  • Team photos we take will not be printed for you
  • At risk¬†individuals should follow health advice and only attend if they feel comfortable and safe doing so. We’ll do all we can, but if you do attend, please take your own additional safely precautions


  • Please also do not enter more than 10 minutes before your booking time
  • If needed, we may ask you to wait outside until there is capacity for you to enter
  • Extended time between sessions for previous guests to leave and increased cleaning of room.¬†We may not be able to give you extra time in your room if you go over (sorry!)
  • As always, game rooms are privately booked with only your team playing
  • In busier times you may be asked to exit via the rear door
  • The foyer is set up with socially distanced waiting areas for your group
  • Our staff will maintain social distancing and we request that you keep socially distanced from our staff and other guests as well


  • You are required to sanitise your hands upon entering Escape Hunt and before and after your game
  • Sanitiser will also be available throughout the foyer and inside your game room if you request
  • Multiple hand washing facilities are available and you are encouraged to use them
  • Between every game our staff will take extra time and care to sanitise each game room including tables/surfaces, light switches, handles, props, printed collateral, locks etc
  • After every briefing, the waiting zones in the foyer that were used will be sanitised along with the bathrooms, kitchen and check-in iPads will be sanitised between every use
  • All unnecessary items have been removed from the game rooms and foyer
  • We are now a cash-free premises and request payment online prior to arrival or via paywave card

We reserve the right to refuse entry and/or service to anyone who refuses to comply with the conditions of our COVID safe plan.

We’re continuing to monitor the situation and keep up-to-date with health advice and directives. We regularly review this plan and will continue to adapt it as needed, so it may change at any time.
