On this special day, the veil between the world of the living and that of the dead is thinner than ever. In Mexico, families celebrate the occasion by honouring their departed loved ones, inviting them to visit the living.

But every 50 years, the opposite happens: it’s the living who cross over to the realm of the dead!

Unfortunately, during the last crossing, three objects from the world of the living were left behind in that of the dead, causing a catastrophic imbalance between the two worlds. As long as these objects remain where they don’t belong, the connection between the living and the dead will be broken, putting an end to this unique celebration.

But there is still hope: an ancient prophecy states that a group of tourists, descendants of Santa Muerte, will be able to cross the border and find the objects in order to restore the balance… and save El Día de los Muertos.
